Dr Ben Fletcher-Watson manages the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Edinburgh, having previously worked in the cultural sector for almost 15 years. He holds a PhD in Drama from the University of St Andrews, and also studied at Emory University and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. His doctoral research was supported by Starcatchers and Imaginate with funding from the UK Economic and Social Research Council. Research interests include theatre for the very young, performances for autistic audiences, feminist and queer performing arts, and mobile/wearable technologies in theatre. His books include The Art of Being Dangerous (Leuven University Press, 2021) and Dangerous Women (Unbound, 2022).
