The milestone birthday sees Starcatchers celebrate 15 years as an organisation dedicated to ensuring Scotland’s youngest have access to high-quality artistic and creative experiences.
The 15 Actions throughout the year are a pledge from Starcatchers to audiences, participants, partners and stakeholders, highlighting their role as advocate for the youngest children and making clear statements about their child rights-based approach to their work locally, nationally and internationally.
Released throughout the year each Action is a statement of intent from Scotland’s Arts and Early Years organisation, spanning the activity across all strands of activity, from Community Engagement work and touring productions to their programmes of Professional Development.
In 2021, the Year of Childhood and the year of Incorporation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) into domestic law, the 15 Actions campaign champions Children’s Rights in Scotland and keeps Starcatchers’ vision at the heart of their work.
Where can I see the Actions and find out more?
The 15 Actions will be released gradually this year across Starcatchers’ social media channels, with all 15 culminating in Starcatchers’ 15th Birthday date in October.
