Girvan Creative Babies

Girvan Creative Babies is a 5-month project in partnership with Starcatchers and Children 1^st, delivering creative play ideas and activities to inspire child-led play for supported families in South Ayrshire.

Girvan Creative Babies provides Play at Home packs for participants, supported by Early Years Artist, Corrie McKendrick through videos and images on Children 1st online channels.

The packs include materials and are full of activities for parents and carers to enjoy with their little ones. Materials are themed for each pack for fun with textures and playing with sound.

Meet Corrie

Corrie is an Early Years Artist who lives in Glasgow.  He has a theatre background and particularly enjoys leading playful activities for wee ones and their grown-ups that use drama, music, movement, storytelling, visual art and most importantly… All kinds of play! Corrie has worked with a variety of companies, from Scotland to the USA, to China and back again!

Girvan Creative Babies will build towards doorstep play and in-person sessions once current Covid-19 restrictions allow.
