Starcatchers’ Oot Playin’ offered free creative play sessions to babies aged birth to 3-year-old in South Ayrshire. We explored different art forms and themes every week– from messy music to adventures in space– and each session was full of exciting new things for wee ones and their adults to enjoy together.

Children 1st

The Oot Playin’ project was run in partnership with Scotland’s National Children’s Charity, Children 1st, who work across the country bringing practical, emotional and financial support to families in their homes and communities. The Oot Playin’ group was built on the success of Starcatchers’ previous community engagement work in the region, Girvan Creative Babies.

Oot Playin’ was funded by Creative Scotland Recovery Fund, Inspiring Scotland and the Carrick Futures fund.
