Sound Kinnection was an 8-week community engagement programme for Kinship families in North and South Ayrshire, culminating in the production of beautiful music video shared during Kinship Week (March 2020).
During artist-facilitated sessions with musician Fraser Stone and movement artist Skye Reynolds, kinship families worked together exploring lyrics, music-making, sound recording, dance and creative movement, visual art and film.
The focus was always on positive, shared creative experiences – having fun and enjoying quality time together away from some of the challenges of day-to-day life.
The project was delivered in partnership with SHOUT (Kinship care support group in North Ayrshire) and was led by lead artists Fraser Stone and Skye Reynolds and visiting artist Kelvin Greig-Kicks, Innes Watson, Euan Malloch, Chris Waite, Angus Lyon and Bevan Morris.
