Welcome to a place where your footsteps make sounds and your movements animate the space. A space filled with music and electronic sounds to play amongst.
Welcome to a place where your footsteps make sounds and your movements animate the space. Welcome to the Sonic Playground, an interactive installation for young children aged 2+ and their carers. A space filled with music and electronic sounds to play amongst.
Created as part of the Playground Project in association with East Renfrewshire Council. The Playground, saw two artists embedded in two communities in Scotland, Barrhead in East Renfrewshire and Hamilton in South Lanarkshire. In partnership with Renfrewshire Council and South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, Jen Edgar and Nik Paget-Tomlinson were selected to work in these communities, engaging with very young children in nurseries and community centres to explore, play and create experiences for this age range and their carers. To conclude the project, both artists produced a performance.
