Starcatchers presents Little Top as part of Spotlight on Culture/UK France 2024 Together We Imagine Programme

6 March 2024

Starcatchers is delighted to be among a range of inspiring projects and organisations who have been supported to take part in the Spotlight on Culture/UK France 2024 Together We Imagine Programme, which seeks to strengthen partnerships between the UK and France. The British Council’s Spotlight on Culture/UK France 2024 – Together We Imagine programme is delivered in partnership with Creative Scotland and The National Lottery.

Fresh from an Erasmus+ collaboration that explored best practice in artistic experience for early years on a European scale, Starcatchers and Compagnie ACTA will come together through the Together We Imagine programme to share the findings of their research and seek new ways to exchange experiences and practice. As part of this exchange of ideas and findings, Starcatchers will present their award-winning production with SUPERFAN, Little Top, at Festival Premières Rencontres in April 2024.

Starcatchers’ Chief Executive, Rhona Matheson said:
Little Top will transport you to a playful, joyous, upside down, topsy-turvy world where people can fly, patterns fill the air, and anything is possible. We are delighted to present our co-production with SUPERFAN at Festival Premières Rencontres. This is an opportunity to strengthen our partnership with Compagnie ACTA, following our collaboration on international project, Arts & Early Childhood. The presentation of this work will allow us to continue working together to explore international best practice in arts for early years and we are very grateful to the British Council’s Spotlight on Culture UK/France 2024 Fund for this invaluable opportunity.”

Extending their European tour, Little Top will ignite curiosity in very young audiences with their first circus experience in Norway and Belfast. The tour began this month with a magical performance in Lyra’s Artspace in Edinburgh.
