We are delighted to announce that Starcatchers has been successful in receiving Creative Scotland’s Multi-year funding.
Creative Scotland announced its portfolio of organisations on 30th January 2025, sharing who will be given funding from April 2025 to March 2028. This is the largest portfolio of cultural organisations to ever be supported on a multi-year basis by Creative Scotland, and we are encouraged to see more investment put into the arts in Scotland.
An additional 141 organisations have received multi-year funding for the first time. We are very pleased for our friends and colleagues across the sector and delighted to see new organisations joining the portfolio, including partners Whale Arts, Frozen Charlotte, Dirliebane Theatre and Superfan Performance.
Rhona Matheson, Chief Executive of Starcatchers, said:
“We are relieved and happy to be included in this portfolio, allowing us to be able to continue delivering our work and planning our future. This funding is vital to ensure our work continues to support Scotland’s youngest children to realise their rights through arts and creative experiences.
We are delighted to see the inclusion of many new organisations to Creative Scotland’s portfolio and congratulate them on the news. This increased investment in the arts is key to sustaining our fragile sector and is encouraging to see the recognition of this in Scotland.”
