Starcatchers launches new Play Fund for Artists based in Scotland

Starcatchers is delighted to launch their new Play Fund for artists based in Scotland

The newly-launched Play Fund aims to support artists across all art forms, in the exploration of new work for Scotland’s youngest audiences and to encourage artists to push the boundaries of what an artistic experience for the very young can be.

There are two opportunities for artists to apply in 2021, and the first deadline is 31 May at 5pm. There will be a second opportunity to apply for the fund in October 2021.

With the launch of this new fund, Starcatchers aims to ensure that at least one award is made to artists who identify as Black, a Person of Colour, from the African Caribbean Diaspora, Latinx, East Asian Diaspora, South East Asian Diaspora, South Asian Diaspora, West Asian Diaspora (including Middle East), Indigenous people, biracial or as having mixed heritage.
